You may have noticed last weekend the complete absence from town of Durban’s theatrical glitterati. Mini-celeb spotting was never poorer. Well, the reason was because the entire bunch had decamped to the misty heights of Hilton.
Yes, it was the annual Hilton Arts Festival. That time of year when many of us gorge on so much theatre, music and comedy that by Sunday afternoon you believe that you have seen more performances over the weekend than Caroline Smart has in her entire life. And that, my friend, is a lot.
